It *finally* felt a teensy bit like Fall in Huntsville this week, but sunscreen is still in order if you plan on getting out and enjoying some free and/or cheap family fun with the kiddos this weekend! Thankfully, you have some AWESOME chances to do that!

Great Diaper Drive

Thursday from 5AM – 6PM

We’ve got a brand-new National Diaper Bank to fill and we’re going to need YOUR help today! Stop by with your donations of diapers and wipes and you will be helping out local babies who are in desperate need of fresh, clean diapers. The first 200 people that come by between 2-6 PM will get free ice cream!

Concerts On the Dock

Build a Firetruck

These kid-friendly workshops are designed especially for kids ages 5-12 and includes a free apron and certificate. Just be sure your RSVP online before you go as space is limited.

Madison Street Festival

Saturday from 9AM – 4PM

This annual fall fest celebrates the people, art, food, and music of Madison, Alabama, and is chock full of things to do and eat. Their “Big Tent” children’s area is a reason to go all on it’s own, but be sure you go early for the parade, games, car show, and live entertainment.

Historic Walking Tour

Did you know that Huntsville is home to the South’s largest concentration of antebellum homes? Every October, you can take a family-friendly, guided stroll through these famed historic districts. It’s going to be a gorgeous day for it!

Cruise In & Car Show

Cruise in with a classic car or bike and show off your wheels around the Square in Athens. Antique automobiles will be parked around the square, and there will be live family-friendly entertainment to enjoy.

Star Wars LEGO Build

Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join us for our LEGO® Star Wars Rogue One Build Event. In this open and fun-filled activity, participants and Star Wars fans alike will get to build designs from the exciting new film coming out this year.

Head to the Pumpkin Patch

Lyon Family Farm and 4D Family Farm 
Whether you head north or south, both of these farms are an absolutely beautiful drive from Huntsville, both are adorable family farms, and both are RCM favorites! If you want to get lost in a corn maze, pick out a pumpkin, bounce on a giant pillow, or cheer at some pig races, you’re going to get your wish at these area farms. #FallMustList

Haunted Trolley Tour & Ghost Walk

Saturday at 6PM and 8:30PM

Take a stroll with a hauntingly good tour guide through Huntsville historic neighborhoods – you’ll learn lots of local stories as you go! Choose from walking tours or trolley tours, but we recommend the 8:30 PM walk this particular evening, mainly because our favorite Ghost Host, Van Brown, is an awesome guide for families who love to get spooky, but not too spooky!
