Creatures of the Cosmos powered by Afterschool Labs is a fall break camp jam-packed with learning and fun for pre-kindergarten – 8th grade students. During the camp, students will explore the characteristics of the real, the probable, and the imagined creatures of our universe through participation in hands-on experiments, real-world scenarios, and team-building competitions. By the end of the week, students will apply their knowledge of the living to create an inhabitable planet suitable for all creatures of the cosmos!
Alabama Kidnastics Fall Break Camp
Stay active over Fall Break with Alabama Kidnastics! Each day is filled with fun activities such as basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, batminton, flag football, kickball, gymnastics, dance, art and crafts and much more. Children must bring a sack lunch with drink, and come prepared in tennis shoes and with a water bottle. Space is limited, so register early! Ages 5-12.
Alexander’s Martial Arts
Combining martial arts, personal development, crafts, activities, field trips and more! This mini-version of Alexander’s summer program is perfect for kids who are looking to get some pent-up energy out during Fall Break. Kids will swim twice during the week, and have a day at the park (weather permitting). Ages 5-12.
Join the fun with a whimsical week of creative adventure! Available to students in grades 2nd-5th, the “Happy Camper” workshop is a 3-day experience featuring an introduction to tye-dye. Campers will make 3 projects – a T-shirt, pillowcase, and bandanna – as well as personalized walking sticks, which will include different painting and craft techniques.
Bricks 4 Kidz
With the fun fall break themes for 2016 of “Mining and Crafting 101: Crafting Your World & Mining the Depths!” and “Galaxy Far Far Away (Star Wars)”, your LEGO lovers will have a blast at Bricks 4 Kids. Offering morning and afternoon camps. Open Play is available for early drop-off, late-stay, and early/late stay for the lunch hour! Ages 5+.
Burritt on the Mountain
It’s harvest time at Burritt on the Mountain and we’re calling all campers to come celebrate the season. We’ll check out the changes that are happening in the woods and world around us as the days get cooler. We will spend a whole day on our trails to see everything nature has in store. Get a taste of both work and play in our historic park as you learn how families of the past prepared for winter. Monday through Wednesday will focus on autumn in nature, and Thursday through Friday will focus on harvest traditions. With plenty to see, try, make and take, it will be a feast of fun to remember! Registrations and payment must be received by Tuesday September 27th.

Designbyhart Pottery Studio
Fire up your creativity and join the fun at Designbyhart Pottery Studio and Huntsville Art League’s weeklong pottery and art camps, designed for ages 6 and up! Campers expand their imaginations and explore the exciting world of clay and art through a wide range of projects and building techniques. Whether working with watercolor, pastels, acrylics, hand building or wheel-thrown pottery, students learn in a supportive, small class setting with plenty of individual instruction and inspiration. Campers will start the morning at Designbyhart Pottery for 3 hours of clay exploration. After lunch, they will work on art projects. Campers need to bring their own lunch. They should dress in comfortable clothes with closed toed shoes. Online registration closes 2 days before the start day of the class.

Huntsville Botanical Garden
Each day campers (ages 6-13) will focus on animal habitats in different biomes around the world. Activities for each theme will include a variety of indoor and outdoor lessons, experiments and projects.Your child can come all week or you can pick your days. Early care is available from 7:30-8:45am for $5 a day or $20 for the week.
Huntsville Skating School and Training Academy
The Huntsville Skating School and Training Academy will host a “Learn to Skate” Camp on Oct. 3-5 from 9 a.m. to noon. A snack is included each day, and camp activities includes an off-ice warm up, skate rental and proper boot fitting, 45 minutes of coach instruction, and 90 minutes of supervised on-ice practice.
The Little Gym of Huntsville
Wonder and fascination will be brought to life during this week of Legends, Fables and Folklore! Has your child ever pretended to be a Unicorn, Dragon or Mermaid? Do they love the stories of “Robin Hood” or “Cinderella”? The kids will get to bring these and other characters and stories to life this week – and get some great exercise at the same time. MindGear Labs is once again offering two fun camp options for budding engineers in grades 3-8: LEGO Robotics Boo(t) Camp and Minecraft: Haunted Castles. LEGO Robotics Boot Camp helps campers take their robotics skills to the next level with a refresher of the basics on the first day, followed by a deep dive right into advanced build concepts, sensors, and challenges. At the end of the week students will show off their skills by helping the bot through a trick-or-treat obstacle course. In the new and exclusive Minecraft: Haunted Castles afternoon camp, kids will enjoy 3 different Minecraft world experiences! They’ll also get the opportunity try out their castle-building skills in free build, and will wrap up the week with Castle Siege play in survivor mode.

If your child is looking for some out of this world fun then Space Camp Day Camp might be the answer! Children ages 7 – 11* (* Use of simulators is subject to height and weight restrictions) can experience all the excitement of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center® at Day Camp. Crew trainers guide trainees through the past, present and future of flight or space exploration, using actual jets, shuttles and rockets as the backdrop. Before and aftercare is available at an additional cost. Please note that spaces are limited, so register early to ensure your spot!
Spirited art is the perfect day camp opportunity for your budding artist to release their creative juices over Fall Break! Wednesday and Thursday are Halloween-themed, and kids will paint a festive painting, decorate their own “trick or treat” bags, and decorate 2 cookies (drink provided). Friday’s camp is an Open Studio, where children can select 2 paintings and enjoy a provided snack and drink. These camps are for ages 5 and up, with doors opening at 8:45AM each day.

YMCA – Hogan
This full-day camp is on the Hogan YMCA campus and open to both members and non-members. Parents provide lunch & two snacks. There will be games, swimming and a field trip during this week. You are able to pick the 3 days of your choice. If you haven’t registered for holiday camp or as part of our after school program, there is a one time registration fee of $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers. Note that space is limited and registration will be closed once max capacity is reached, so register early!
YMCA – Southeast Huntsville
Come let your child spend the week of Fall Break with the Southeast YMCA! Kids will enjoy daily planned activities, including swimming, games and lots of play time. Drop off and pick up will be in the old gym entrance facing Cannstatt, and each child must bring a lunch, 2 snacks, drinks and swim attire.
