These summer hikes are designed specifically for high school students interested in spending time outdoors and learning about North Alabama’s natural environment. Come join at the Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve as they hike the “high trails” of the preserve. This hike will give the opportunity to get out and see the upper elevations of the preserve. They'll start by heading south from the pavilion on the Moonshine Trail. They'll take the Whole Planet Trail to the Terry Trail for a walk up the hill. A loop on the Bulldog trail will bring the group around to catch the Terry Trail back down to the pavilion.
