Huntsville Parks & Rec Wants You to #GoPlayHsv
Readers of our website for any length of time already knows about our obsession with all things Leslie Knope. So you can imagine our excitement when our very own Mayor Battle proclaimed this July as Parks & Recreation Month in Huntsville!
This is a national celebration, but of course the Rocket City is celebrating with our own unique twist.
How to Win Prizes
Parks & Recreation wants to hear from Huntsville citizens about how you “get your play on” in Huntsville.
It couldn’t be easier to participate… Just snap a picture and submit your experience! Post your photo or video in the Parks & Recreation Month 2021 Facebook group, or tag @huntsvilleparksandrecreation with the hashtag #goPLAYhsv on Instagram.
But What Should I Share?
The City of Huntsville wants to see how you’re enjoying their facilities such as parks, greenways, pools, splash pads, recreation centers, playgrounds and more. They will select a weekly winner and give them awesome Huntsville Parks & Recreation swag and other prizes.
It can be literally anything that gets you moving, especially (but not limited to) at a Huntsville park or recreation facility. Of course, RCM has got some great ideas to do with kids, and if you click the links there are more details about each way to #GoPlayHsv!
- Feeding the Ducks at Big Spring Park

So what are you waiting for? Get our there and explore a new park, try a new fitness program, or hike a new trail! While you’re at it, snap a picture and post it using the #GoPlayHsv to encourage others to do the same and win some cool stuff.
