Movie Under the Stars

This summer, Village of Providence is offering a summer of movies in their own park (the large green space on Providence Main Street right next to Mellow Mushroom). Movies are free and open to the public and begin at dusk – tonight’s showing: Minions!

Fishing Rodeo

Kids through age fourteen are invited to participate in this annual fishing rodeo, with trophies and prizes will be awarded in six categories. Registration begins at 7:00am and the rodeo will be from 8-11am. Weigh in begins at 11:00am with awards immediately after. Participants must be registered and pay a $1.00 fee to enter the rodeo. Adult supervision is required.

Dragonboat Festival

Dragon boat racing grows in popularity each year,and includes teams of 20 paddlers, a drummer and steerer race in authentic, 46-foot-long dragon boats. Super Saturday & Bike with Mayor Battle

It’s a morning filled with family-friendly fun for a Healthy Huntsville! Free exercise classes from 9-12, and the Mayor’s 4-mile Bike Ride at 10:30 a.m. The morning includes children’s activities, healthy food, nutritionists and wellness counselors, and a host of fitness-related vendors.

Babypalooza

First there’s the Bridal Show and then there’s Babypalooza! New moms and moms-to-be can connect to all of the wonderful resources, services, and boutiques in your area to help you with the newest member of your family. 29th Annual Multicultural Native American Event

Oakville Indian Mounds Park & Museum | More Info

Cherokee, Creek, and Chickasaw living history demonstrations will featured as well as Civil War reenactments, arts and crafts, free hand’s on children’s activities, live birds of prey and concessions.
