VBC Concert Hall [/sws_pullquote_right]Any parent worth their salt knows the importance of this piece of Parenting 101 advice. Reading to babies and young kids helps develop language, establishes a night-time routine, and is the perfect bonding activity for families.
But what about older kids? How many of you still read out loud to your ten year-old?
Peter and the Starcatcher is the perfect book to give it a try – the story is familiar across generations and kids will love the fast-paced adventure. This Peter Pan prequel is also a five-book series, a good thing because you won’t want the story to end.
Now that Broadway Theatre League is bringing the acclaimed show to Huntsville next weekend, parents have a unique opportunity to heighten the reading-together experience even more. Read the book then watch the show, or watch the show then read the book! It doesn’t matter which order you do it, your kids will never forget their Mom & Dad Bookclub!
