It’s Spring Consignment Season in Huntsville and several area sales start this weekend including two we’d like to recommend not only because they are great sales but because they are supporters of our site and help us to bring this great information to area families week in and week out. Rocket City Consignment is located across from Madison Square Mall and includes both kids & adult clothes, household items, and more. Kids’ Kloset is located in the Huntsville Jaycee’s Building and is one of the largest children’s consignment sales in the area. Help celebrate by participating in this awesome 21st Annual Great Paper Airplane Contest. Prep your plane beforehand or at the venue, just be sure to follow the rules.
Spring Into Summer Activities Fair

Featuring more than 35 member organizations of The Arts Council, the Spring Into Summer Activities Fair will highlight spring break and summer camps, workshops and classes in the fields of art, music, dance, theater, science, history and more. Come by the Rocket City Mom table to take a photo on our RCM Red Carpet and say hello – we’ll have some special visitors from WOW Parties come by too!
Give Back Day at the Garden

Give Back Days are a great way for families to try out the Garden & decide if a membership is right for you while also supporting a great local charity. This weekend’s charity happens to be the Huntsville Humane Society so donations of one pet item per person (list here)Â are being request. Run off some of that cabin fever energy from the snow day. Plus, you can even bring the family dog for the last day of Beaks & Barks – the weather looks like it will be MUCH warmer!

It’s Alabama vs Alaska in Huntsville Saturday night, and the Chargers want you to come cheer for the home team! This family-friendly hockey match is a great way to experience one of the Rocket City’s favorite sports. With kids 12 and under free, you can’t beat the price for a night out with The Fam.
