Broadway Theatre League Bringing Free Kid’s Shows Back to Huntsville Students
Broadway Theatre League wants to bring students back to their stages! This Fall, BTL has a free student outreach program they hope more school groups will take advantage of this year, especially in light of their current season. ArtRageous and Hot Peas N’ Butter are both shows BTL are bringing to Huntsville, and they want educators to know about them!
How to Participate
Huntsville’s Broadway Theatre League provides two performance times for each Student Outreach show. Both performances are FREE of charge and now taking school group reservations. Any school within driving range of the Von Braun Center is welcome to attend. Preschool groups are included when the show is age appropriate as is Hot Peas N’ Butter. Homeschool groups are also welcome – BTL asks that a minimum of 10 per group is required.

A Free Show? How Is That Possible?
BTL started the Student Outreach program in 2005 and there was a nominal fee at that time. Now, thanks to grants from The Alabama State Council on the Arts, Arts & Cultural Grant Program from the City of Huntsville and The Arts Council, and many BTL supporters, performances are free.
Exposing kids to The Arts enhances creativity, increases student engagement at school, sharpens critical intellectual skills, and teaches teamwork. Read more about why education in The Arts matters here.
