Activities Fair Helps Local Parents Prepare for Summer
Summer. Six little letters that bring a smile to every child’s face. As we soldier on through these last days of winter (with small sneak peeks of spring on the weekends) it may seem like long sunny days are far, far away but parents know they are here VERY soon and you had better be ready!
Savvy parents (and all RCM readers are extra savvy) are already checking out our 2014 Summer Camp Guide and planning all kinds of new adventures for their little ones this summer. But reading about a camp can only get you so far. What if you want to meet with someone and ask questions, see pictures from previous camps, or have your child experience a hands-on activity for themselves?
Then the Arts Council’s Spring into Summer Activities Fair is where you need to be this Saturday. Located at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center this year, the fair runs from 9AM until 3PM, and is completely free. It’s also filled with great information about area summer camps AND lots of free activities and fun. There will be more than 40 exhibitors from area summer camps as well as live music, stage performances, children’s activities and door prizes!
