Children’s Theatre of Madison

Can true villains ever change?

Do any of us REALLY have control of our own story?

Young thespians participating in the new Children’s Theatre of Madison will perform their debut show to help answer these questions in Happily Ever After by George Halitzka. When Gregory Wolf shows up at the Grimm Brothers’ Office, he only wants one thing: a happy ending. Gregory believes that even a wolf can live happily ever after, but Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs are convinced that he’s destined to be a villain. Gregory could be a wolf with a heart of gold or he could have Grandmas on his mind. Only Jacob Grimm can give him a story that’s just right.

Dr. Brenda Harper is the director of the Children’s Theatre of Madison, and she opened their doors to students who have a passion for drama in August of this year. With classes for children ages “4 – 104” CTM strives to place each and every child in the spotlight and enhance their life through theatre.

Each of the instructors are professionally qualified, and every employee’s credentials have been validated and passed background checks. The security system provides a safe environment to learn, and the theatrical stage is the highlight of CTM’s performances! There are no registration fees required to participate. CTM is also unique because of their memberships in national organizations like Theatre Communications Group, and Theatrical Education Group.

It’s been exciting to see my daughter and all the cast members work hard on this play. But the best part is how much fun they have in rehearsals. I am thrilled that Madison now has another creative outlet for our kids to be involved in.

Children’s Theatre of Madison has been amazing with my 7 year old son who was diagnosed with Autism last year. He has come so far since the start of his 8 week class “The Acting Bug!” I look forward to watching him continue to learn and grow with the help of the amazing staff at the theatre!
