Good Day Kid’s Festival Gets Groovy
Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in partnership with Rocket City Mom, is hosting the 7th annual Good Day Kid’s Festival – the only festival just for kids in north Alabama.
This year’s theme, “Kidstock”, celebrates all the groovy ideas of peace, love, and environmentalism. Activities include a hippie fashion show, DIY tie dye creations, crafting seed balls from mud, face painting, juggling, performances, and pony rides. Music, dance, martial arts, and other demonstrations will also take place throughout the day.
Be sure to join in the Good Day Scavenger Hunt that will help you explore the awesomeness that is Lowe Mill with your family!
THIS Saturday, May 10th, 2014. Gates will open to the public at noon and the festival will close at 4:00 PM, with the traditional Good Day Parade around the grounds at closure. RAIN OR SHINE! If it rains, we move everything inside Lowe Mill and stay cozy & dry.

Join our host Steve Trash, Eco-magician and entertainer for a day of 70’s fashion flashbacks and outdoor fun. Wear your best hippie gear as you enjoy food trucks, a costume contest and fun with Mud!
Along with the activities families have come to expect from Good Day for seven years, this year organizers are expanding the event to include performances by the Huntsville Public Library Puppet Troupe and renowned kid’s jam band Tangerine Tambourine. Alexander’s Martial Arts will provide karate demonstrations, Huntsville Community Drum Line will also perform.
Admission is free and open to the public. We do ask you consider a love offering per family at the gate to raise funds for an exciting new playground at Lowe Mill. And we all know that Lowe Mill + A New Playground = Concerts On the Dock just got awesomer.
We also want your ideas about this one-of-a-kind playground! Kids are invited to be Lowe Mill artists for the day and sketch their design ideas – get a jump on your blueprint with this click & print color sheet. The more colorful and creative, the BETTER!
