Family Field Day & Resource Fair

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, May 10^th!

Ok, it is probably already marked for the awesome Good Day Children’s Festival at Lowe Mill. Now add the Family Field Day and Resource Fair to that. That Saturday morning from 9am-12pm at the Alabama A&M Student Health and Wellness Center will be an incredible opportunity for the whole family. Plus now you get to do TWO things that day!

The purpose of the Resource Fair is to provide families an opportunity to become aware of the area’s summer youth programs, youth volunteer opportunities, and youth service learning activities. There will also be guidance for youth to learn job employment skills. Among other activities, there will be: mock job interviews, proper dress, and proper behavior assistance.

The Family Field Day portion is all about helping to combat youth obesity. There will be nutrition guidance and activities, as well as active demonstrations for all ages.

But wait, there’s more! There will also be some awesome giveaways. I can’t reveal the big one yet, but it is awesome like most awesome giveaways are.
