Meet at the Terry Education Pavilion at Chapman Mountain to remove invasive nandina along trails and throughout the preserve. Volunteers should expect to hike up to 1 mile, with little elevation change.

This hike, along Green Mountain’s Alum Hollow Trail, will take hikers to Alum Falls and the rock shelter nearby, two scenic spots on the preserve.

Harvest Square Nature Preserve has a lot of things about it that appeal to the casual hiker: Its trails are relatively easy to walk on, there’s not a lot of mileage, and – best of all – there are no hills!
