Location: Wade Mountain Nature Preserve (Spragins Hollow Trailhead) – 10130 Spragins Hollow Road NW, Huntsville, AL 35810 (off of Winchester Road)
Weekend Wanderings, our newest program for young hikers (ages 6-12 years with accompanying adult), will highlight a different Land Trust preserve each month, providing participants with a variety of opportunities to explore, develop some new skills, and learn about the natural environment.
February’s Wander will be at the Wade Mountain Nature Preserve, and we’ll be exploring the Piney Loop Trail. This is a relatively short trail, only about ¾ of a mile long. We’ll wander through a couple of different forest types and take a close look at each of them.
What to Bring: We recommend closed toe shoes, long pants, bug spray, sunscreen as appropriate, and water.

Registration is required. Please reserve one spot per family, not per child. This program is FREE but membership to support our mission is very much appreciated. Space is limited.
