Guided Hike at Chapman Mountain
Sat 13th @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
FreeChapman Mountain Nature Preserve is becoming one of our more popular preserves – come see why! For this hike, your hike leader will take the group through the “flat” part of the preserve, exploring the Driskell and Chasco trails as well as parts of the Terry and Moonshine trails. As we’re avoiding the hills, this hike is appropriate for elementary-age hikers. If you have a pair of binoculars, you might want to bring them – this preserve is a birding destination for those who enjoy bird watching. In fact, the preserve now houses a bird blind just a few feet from the pavilion that hosts a very popular screech owl. Come see if you can spot our feathered friend!
When: Saturday, July 13 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Location: Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve – 1263 U.S Hwy 72 East, Huntsville, AL 35811
Difficulty: (Moderate / Around 1.5 hours / About 2 miles)
Registration is required. Information at landtrustnal.org/guided-hikes
