Foraging Hike at Bethel Spring Nature Preserve
Saturday, March 23 from 11 AM – 2 PM

Location: Bethel Spring Nature Preserve – 2641 Cherry Tree Road, Gurley, AL 35748

Spring is here, and with it are a host of newly emerged plants for you to learn about. Join Land Trust of North Alabama and Forager Casey Lanier at Bethel Spring Nature Preserve to observe and enjoy early spring. This hike will go all the way to the waterfall. The route is rocky and the trail is steep in places, so please wear appropriate footwear and be ready for a moderately difficult climb. (A bit more than moderately difficult / Around 3 hours / 2 miles or so)

A FEW NOTES: This hike is educational, so if you’re looking for a walk with no long stops to talk, it’s probably not what you’re looking for.  The hike is scheduled to last 3 hours, but it may run long.  This hike around the preserve is not intended for collection or consumption of species.

Registration is required. Information at landtrustnal.org/guided-hikes
