The minute the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone we start putting together the ULTIMATE list of local home and neighborhood Christmas light displays in Huntsville so your family can enjoy them.
We assume you’ve already done the Galaxy of Lights and Tinsel Trail – if not, then hit those up first! They are on the Must List for light aficionados, and both have added new features to their spectacular light displays!

Each pin on this Google map of Christmas Light Displays is a location of Christmas lights – plot out your route in advance on your desktop, or use your Google map app if you’re in the car – it will navigate you to each address! Whenever we could, we included notes & details about the light display.
2024 Christmas Lights & Displays of Spectacular Proportion
Conkling Family Light Display
Madison (map)
This display features a traditional static Christmas display with over 25,000 lights. It includes over a half dozen inflatables, over 2 Dozen hand-made wooden decor pieces, multiple lighted decor pieces, driveway arch, meteor lights, and more! Don’t miss the Santa Mailbox! You can mail a letter to Santa and receive a letter back from Santa or an elf, but must provide a mailing address. The backyard lighting can be viewed from the Legend Mill Cul De Sac. Lights will be on starting Friday after Thanksgiving through January 6th from 5-11 PM, weather permitting.
Preston Valley Light Show – featuring Horseshoe Bend Memorabilia
Big Cove, Huntsville (map)
The Higginbothem House era is over, but the family has generously passed on their tradition to Preston Valley! In Honor of the late Dr. John Higginbothem, you can drive-by or get out and walk around and enjoy the show. Lights are usually on between 5-10 PM, weather permitting, closed on Mondays. Opens December 6.
Winborn Family Light Show
South Huntsville (map)
The Winborn Family has their own Facebook Page and their lights are on from 5-10 PM, weather permitting.
The Boyer Family Dancing Christmas Tree Show
Moores Mill (map)
This show has over 25,000 lights and over a dozen animated Christmas trees that blink to the holiday soundtrack. It’s hosted by two talking Christmas Trees, Chris and Christine, who tell jokes and introduce the songs. The show will play nightly until 9pm or 10pm except on rainy nights when the show is dark.
Woodard Family Lights

This light show in Madison runs from roughly 5-9 PM each night! See their Facebook Page for weather updates and even request your favorite song! Please be courteous and don’t block traffic or driveways.
Lights on Hemingway

Check out this new light show! Lights on Hemingway celebrates the joy & wonder of the Christmas & Halloween seasons through a variety of lights and decorations. To enjoy the show, be sure to tune your radio to 89.9 FM! Runs nightly from 5-9 PM (weather permitting) until January 1.
Hare Family Light Show

The Hare Family Christmas Light Show is up and running for the season with over 10,000 lights. We have a variety of songs that are Christmas themed. They range from traditional to upbeat and modern. Swing by Mystic Arbor Drive in Harvest. The house is located off Jeff Road. Turn off Jeff Road onto Mystic Arbor Drive. The house is a few houses down on the right. Tune to 88.7 FM on your radio to listen from your vehicle. The show runs Sunday – Thursday 5:00PM – 9:00PM and Friday – Saturday from 5:00PM – 10:30PM. The show will run until January 2nd. Lights on Ridge Road

Lights on Ridge Road is a synchronized light show that features over 20,000 LED lights dancing to your favorite holiday tunes. Each evening, we present a dazzling display combining classic Christmas songs with modern favorites, creating an unforgettable holiday experience for the whole family. Show Information: Show runs nightly from December 1st through January 4th, Sunday through Thursday: Sunset to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday: Sunset to 11:00 PM. Each show sequence runs approximately 3-5 minutes
