The minute the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone we start putting together the ULTIMATE list of local home and neighborhood Christmas light displays in Huntsville so your family can enjoy them.
We assume you’ve already done the Galaxy of Lights and Tinsel Trail – if not, then hit those up first! They are on the Must List for light aficionados, and both have added new features to their spectacular light displays!

How to Use This Map Like a Boss!
Each pin on this Google map of Christmas Light Displays is a location of Christmas lights – plot out your route in advance on your desktop, or use your Google map app if you’re in the car – it will navigate you to each address! Whenever we could, we included notes & details about the light display.
Christmas Lights of Spectacular Proportions
Our map above has over 50 Christmas lights destinations, but there are a few that stand out as being a bit more “Clark Griswold”… these are definitely worth the drive across Huntsville and North Alabama.
Horseshoe Trail

The Higginbotham’s on Horseshoe Trail have been delighting kids with their light display for years!
Chickamauga Trail
South Huntsville (map)
The Winborn Family has their own Facebook Page and their lights are on from 5-10 PM, weather permitting.
Sargent Family Light Show
Toney (map)
Each year this light show gets bigger and bigger and now is one of our favorite houses in Toney! Check out their YouTube videos. Be sure to go between 6-9 PM Friday-Sunday.
Hall Family Lights Show
Hampton Cove (map)
The Hall Family has their own Facebook Page for their display! Located off Taylor Road behind Wal-Mart, they have dancing lights set to music on their radio signal. Other houses in the neighborhood are also decked out.
The Boyer Family Dancing Christmas Tree Show
Moores Mill (map)
This show has over 25,000 lights and over a dozen animated Christmas trees that blink to the holiday soundtrack. The show is hosted by two talking Christmas Trees, Chris and Christine, who tell jokes and introduce the songs. The show will play nightly until 9pm or 10pm except on rainy nights when the show is dark.
Woodard Family Lights
Madison (map)
This light show in Madison runs from roughly 5-10 PM each night and includes songs from The Greatest Showman, Hallelujah by Pentatonix, The Christmas Can-Can and more! See their Facebook Page.
Gilliland Family Light Show
Arab (map)
The Gilliland Family Light Show has 67,000 lights set to music. Tune your radio to 107.1 to enjoy the show!
Parrish Family Lights
Killen (map)
Featuring 15,000 lights, 15 trees, a la Christmas vacation style!
Lights on Harrison Street
Decatur (map)
Another light show is so big it has its own website! This one is worth at least a couple of visits every year, and is featured in our River City Mom Decatur Holidays Guide.
