The Rogersville Splash Pad is a hidden gem in North Alabama surrounded by beautiful landscape and trees. It’s located at the Rogersville Recreation Center, about 45 minutes west of Madison and a mere 20 minutes away from Athens. It’s a great place for families in northwest Alabama to cool off during the sweltering summertime!
Rogersville Splashpad Features
If you have little ones, this splashpad has an area geared towards toddlers with a frog that squirts water from the mouth and an alligator shooting water from the nose, as well as lots of fountains that stay lower to the ground.
My older kids spent the most time on the other side of the splash pad with the three dumping buckets of water and fountains that sprayed further into the air.
I love that the splash pad is fenced in for safety. It contains a pavilion with three picnic tables for parents and tired little ones to sit in the shade while the others continue to play. In the pavilion, they have electrical outlets. There are two benches in the sun for anyone wanting to work on their tan.
Concessions & Bathrooms
You can pack drinks and snacks or they have a concession stand right next to the splash pad. They do have a bathroom outside the fenced area on the other side of the playground. My preteens started off playing tennis at the courts that are right across from the splash pad so I could keep an eye on them. They ended the day by joining the littles in the water and had a great time laying under the dumping buckets.
When the kids are done being in the water, you can enjoy the two parks right next to the splash pad with plenty of shaded areas, picnic tables, and they even have swing benches for adults.
Another family brought their own grill to celebrate Memorial Day in one of the large pavilions outside of the splash pad. While I relaxed in the shade, my kids put on a show for me on the stage. We watched all of the colorful birds and frisky squirrels, it felt like we were camping!
