10 Things to do with your kids this June
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy all that our hometown has to offer and the Rocket City (and surrounding parts of North Alabama) has a lot to see and do. So much so that it can be almost be a full-time job keeping up with all the fun! 🙂

June 5, Wally Vess Fishing Rodeo
This free event at Brahan Spring Park Lagoon is open to children ages 6-12. Bring your own equipment and arrive early (before 8:30AM) to register. Click for details.
June 7, Concert in the Park
This free concert series presented by Arts Huntsville and the City's Parks & Rec department is a Huntsville staple for a reason. Don't miss the inaugural concert for 2021. ProTip: Get there early to snag a great spot on the lawn and in the food truck line.
June 17, Outdoor Movie (Cinderella)
Madison Library is hosting a series of films this summer on the back lawn and we think this 2015 version of Cinderella is one the whole family will love. Click for details.
June 12, Army Birthday Celebration
Join in the fun as the Army celebrates its 246th birthday. Free and open to the public, this event includes cruise-in car show, kids play zone, food trucks, and fireworks! Click for details.
June 19, Father's Day Train
Dads and trains just go together so well that is seems like a natural to take him for a train ride through North Alabama to help celebrate his special day. In fact, we recommend getting tickets soon so you don't miss out.
June 24-27, Helen Keller Festival
This 4-day festival in Tuscumbia is celebrating its 40th year and includes a parade and street festival on Thursday, and live music, a marketplace, and tours of the home all weekend. Click for details.
June 24-26, Family Scavenger Hunt
Asbury Methodist knows that families are always searching for free fun. That's why they put together this special scavenger hunt. From the 24-26 there will be signs all over Madison with QR codes to scan. Kids who complete the hunt before the 27th will receive a special gift. Click for details.
June 26, Business & Kid's Expo
Come say "Hi" to your favorite Rocket City Moms at the 2021 Business Expo and Kid's Day. Enjoy listening to the band Groove while checking out local products and services. The theme for this year is... BASEBALL! There will be a Kid Zone for kids to enjoy inflatables, games and lots more fun activities and food trucks.
June 24-27, Kiddie Carnival

All of June, Drones: Is the Sky the Limit
Summer 2021 is the perfect time to check out the Space & Rocket Center's newest exhibit which explores the modern phenomenon of drones, their uses throughout history and the exciting possibilities of the role they'll play in the future.
