Share the Love with Volunteer Valentines
If you’re looking to go beyond cute stuffed animals and heart shaped boxes this year, we’ve gathered ways for you and your little Valentines to share the love and have some fun while you’re at it!
With the pandemic disproportionately affecting our senior neighbors – especially those in assisted living and nursing home facilities – there’s no better time to break out those craft supplies for a good cause. We’ve put together some of our favorite Valentine’s Day themed crafts and compiled a list of organizations taking donations for seniors.
Valentine’s Day Craft Ideas to Warm the Heart
Break out the construction paper and crayons! We’ve put together projects for crafters of all levels! Check out some of these tutorials or make your own Valentine’s Day themed drawings. This is also the perfect opportunity to talk to your littles about giving back and helping their community while they enjoy these Valentine’s Day themed crafts.

Drop Off Sites for Easy and Safe Delivery
Giving back is simple with these local organizations. After your child has created their Valentine, take them along to a drop off site that will get them in the hands of some local seniors. Be sure to have donations to the drop off sites by noon on Friday, February 12! Check out this list of groups that are accepting donations to deliver to local nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and Meals on Wheels recipients.
