If you’ve got a 3D Printer and live in North Alabama you can help fight Covid-19
Huntsville engineer and YouTube star Destin Sandlin, from the channel Smarter Every Day, is calling on the large engineering community in North Alabama to help the local medical community during these unprecedented times. In Sandlin’s video he states, “it’s time to do what Huntsville do [sic], we’re a bunch of engineers, we’re a bunch of geeks, we’re a bunch of scientists. It’s time to help the medical community.”

He goes on to explain that he has been in touch with the appropriate people in the supply chain and that he is now calling on everyone in the area (within driving distance of Huntsville Hospital) that has a 3D printer to help. There is an expected shortage of the plastic face shields needed by medical staff to keep them safe from infected patients. Those with the right kind of printer can help fill this need.
Anyone who believes they are able to help should watch the video and complete this form.
“Our goal is to get these in the system, and let the medical professionals make the most intelligent decision.” says Sandlin.
