Huntsville Weekend Roundup February 2-4
It’s a new month in the Rocket City, and February is ACTION PACKED, folks! I’m always surprised such a short month manages to be so busy – we even decided to give it it’s own mini-roundup to help busy parents plan.
As always, we list our favorite free/cheap weekend activities for kids in Huntsville here in the WERU. Of course, you can always find even more things to do inside our full Event Calendar, so if you don’t see something below go check that out!

Family Concert: Peter & the Wolf

This family-friendly concert is one of our favorite annual events, and a great way to introduce kids to the instruments in the orchestra. It doesn’t matter if kids wiggle and giggle the whole way through! Get our tips on how to best experience it with your kids. Pre-concert activities start at 9:30 AM.
Kid’s DIY Workshop

This opera is guided by two dozen young singers from the Huntsville Community Chorus Children’s Chorale. The audience will be immersed in a glowing universe of stars and planets created by young artists of the Huntsville’s Boys & Girls Club. Under the baton of Joseph Lee, conductor for the Huntsville Youth Orchestra, a 20 piece orchestra brings Portman’s composition to life.
