Family Flick Picks for Fall 2017

family flick picks 2017

School is in full swing across the Tennessee Valley, and with Fall Break coming up and many weekends ahead, consider taking your kids to the movies!

The summer season was brutal to Hollywood – revenues were significantly lower than previous years. The Fall season is typically a slower time for films, but this year sees a good mix of blockbuster franchise films, standalone films from respected studios like Pixar, and dramatic films that could surprise and move your family.

Take a look and see which films pique your interest, and look under “Also Recommended” for other films/books/games you might enjoy. We also like to look up movies before we go see them on Common Sense Media – they offer a great breakdown of almost every aspect of a movie from language, violence levels, and other questions parents might have.

Finally, we’ve compiled a list of theaters in Huntsville and more about the benefits of enjoying movies together as a family.
