Galaxy of Lights Continues to Grow at Huntsville Botanical Garden

Huntsville Botanical Garden’s 21st annual Galaxy of Lights is a long-time holiday tradition for not just local families, but also people from all over the southeast of the United States. 25,000 cars go through the holiday light show on Driving Nights, and that’s not even counting the awesome Walking Nights HBG has added!
New This Year at Galaxy of Lights
Each year is a different experience – you’ll always see your favorites, but new vignettes are created every year by the Garden’s tireless Light Crew. It takes eight weeks to set up and power the light show and there are over six miles of extension cords used to light the displays!
The seasonal attraction began in 1996 with 25 scenes and has now expanded to over 177 scenes. New displays for 2016 are a Santa scene with a dog & cat and a Football player kicking a football.
You might have noticed the Huntsville Botanical Garden is growing – there’s has been lots of construction as it adds more facility space – but the route will not change for Galaxy of Lights and the construction shouldn’t be an issue for families continuing their tradition.
