Rainbow gear is encouraged – expect lots of live music, entertainment, and local speakers, along with a children’s section complete with a moon bounce, face painting, and balloon animals. Wondering what to expect? We love this post about attending with your family.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Here at Rocket City Mom our mission is to make parenting in Huntsville easier. That’s it. We share information about events, activities, resources, whatever. If it’s something that local parents will find interesting, we share it here. To be clear – if your family is not accepting or tolerant of people who are gay, then you SHOULD NOT attend this parade or event. But there are MANY families in the Tennessee Valley who have someone in their lives (parent, child, relative, friend) who is gay and they want to show their support and PRIDE for those people by attending such events. I hope all of our readers can appreciate this, but if by including this event Rocket City Mom has lost your readership then I’ll save you the hassle of emailing me and just take this opportunity to say adieu.
