Make Yourself at Home at Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Newest Installation
The tiny homes movement is alive and well at the Huntsville Botanical Garden! Their new exhibit Houses, Huts, and Habitats is all about the place we call home. Whether you’re a bird, a giant dog, a fairy, or a hobbit, you’ll find a place to rest your weary head here.
Children will love exploring these enchanting abodes and all the hands-on learning that comes with it. You’ll love the beautiful blooms, the spring air, and the opportunity to let a child’s imagination run wild in the great outdoors. With 15 different habitats to explore, you might need to plan additional trips. Personally, we think the Pirate Ship deserves its own day!

The exhibit runs March 12 – August 31, 2016, so there is plenty of time to enjoy, but if you’re staying around for spring break there are some special treats in store the weeks of March 14th and March 21st. Expect daily activities during these two weeks each day from 10AM-2PM including a petting zoo on the 16th, a shamrock shindig on March 17, and the very popular Auburn Raptors on March 23rd. While the exhibit is included with regular admission there is an additional $2 fee for special events.
If you get the chance to visit, be sure to IG it and use the hashtag #tinyhomeshsvbg and you’ll be added to our slideshow!
