No Nuts Moms Group of Huntsville
Did you know that food allergy bullying is a growing problem in schools across the country? Almost 1/3 of kids with food allergies report that they have been bullied specifically because of their allergies. Not to mention the struggle some families have with something as simple as a class party.
There is a resource in town for moms of kids with nut and other food allergies – No Nuts Moms Group of Huntsville. We got in touch with Samantha Boyette, Group Administrator for the Huntsville area, to find out more about how the online group can be a great resource for local families.

How often do you meet?
Thus far, we have only been an online support group but in the future as we grow my hope is to have occasional play dates and Mom Night Outs.
What is the group’s mission?
This is a peanut and tree nut group for all ages. If you are a working or stay at home mother who has a child with a life threatening food allergy, please join us. This is a chance for you and your child to develop a lifelong friendship with someone you both can relate to. Our Huntsville group was started in April of 2014 and we currently have 25 members.
Is there anything that sets your group apart from other area programs?
We are the only Northern Alabama food allergy group that I am aware of.
Do you participate in any fundraisers or events?
We do not have any in Huntsville but Birmingham will have a FARE walk for food allergies October 31st. Details here.
