Think you have what it takes to be a library putt putt champ? Come try out their SUPER awesome course in Youth Services! You can play any time during library hours on Friday – but it’s the last day so don’t miss it! Voluntary donations accepted for future teen programs at this event.
Friday Night Art Walk

This new Art Walk is a continuation of the Sidewalk Arts Stroll that came to an end last year – the good people at Downtown Huntsville Inc. picked up the torch and continue these family-friendly strolls. There will be more than 30 art vendors selling items such as paintings, jewelry, pottery, photography and so much more! Friday Night Art Walks take place the 1st & 4th Fridays June to August.

Bring your family, snacks, and lawn chairs. Thanks to the generous support of both First Baptist Church in Decatur and the Decatur Parks and Recreation Department, area residents can now enjoy movies under the stars this summer at the Daikin Amphitheatre at Founders Park! Showtime is at 8PM & the movie is – you guessed it – Frozen.
Go On a Night Hike

Blacklights and Bugs! Doug Horacek from the North Alabama Land Trust will show your family some cool little creatures that go bump in the night. Bring your flashlight and bug spray and be sure to wear sturdy close-toed hiking shoes. In case of rain the hike will be cancelled.
Florence Frontier Fest

Pope’s Tavern Museum (map)
Step back in time on the grounds of historic Pope’s Tavern Museum and see basket weaving, woodcarving, wool spinning, broom making, pottery making, quilting, chair caning and much more – all by artisans in costumes typical of the frontier period. Listen to local dulcimer players and walk through the museum free to complete your journey to the past. Pope’s Tavern Museum once served as a stagecoach stop, tavern and inn during the early years of Florence, It also served as a hospital during the Civil War. Saturday from from 10AM – 4PM; SUnday from 1PM – 4PM.
Home Depot Kids’ Workshop

These hands-on workshops are designed for children ages 5–12 are offered the 1st Saturday of every month at all The Home Depot stores. Workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment. All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement. This Saturday’s project is a Load ‘n Go Truck!
Family Fun Fest & Expo

Music in Providence Park

You can feel it in the warmth of the sun, you can see it with the sights of little league games being played into the afternoon, and now the Village of Providence wants to help you hear the sounds of summer with their 2015 Music in Providence Park series.
