The Latest Culinary Craze Hits Huntsville

Move over, cupcakes! Make room for the bundt cake and its offspring, “Bundtinis”.
Shefali Patel opened Nothing Bundt Cakes this week over at the Valley Bend shopping center on Carl T. Jones Drive. They offer bite-sized “Bundtinis” that are sold by the dozen and single-serving “Bundtlets” in addition to the larger Bundt cakes for a crowd. Flavors include: Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White White Chocolate, Red Velvet, White Chocolate Raspberry, Carrot, Lemon, Marble, Cinnamon Swirl and Pecan Praline. Each month a new cake flavor is offered to ’round-out’ the choices.
Shefali took some time to answer a few questions about opening a new business in the Rocket City.

Tell us a little bit about experiencing one of your cakes.
From the first bite, sweet memories of your Mom’s cake, fresh from the oven, gently tug at your heart. We have combined the warmth of nostalgia with a fresh, modern approach. Our luscious cakes are made with the finest, premium ingredients, including fresh eggs, real butter and cream cheese. Each bite slowly melts in your mouth, calling you back to a day when life was a little sweeter and time passed more slowly. With a mission like “[We’ll] do whatever it takes to exceed each guest expectation with highest quality cakes, superior service, creative solutions and a warm welcoming environment”, how can you not give them a try?
Your family also owns local eateries like Nothing But Noodles, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, and Scholtzsky’s. What are some of the pros and cons of owning your own business?
Having a quality product for the customer and seeing the satisfaction it offers them is a great part of being a business owner. Long hours are definitely the worst part.
What entrepreneurial advice can you offer to other small business owners?
Be involved in your business day and night. Learn to operationalize efficiently without comprising on quality. Be open to learn from others how/why they are doing it better.
One of our lucky readers will win a FREE year’s supply of Bundlets, the single-serving confections in tons of different flavors. (One cake per month.) Get ready to get clicky and share with your friends!
