40+ Huntsville area restaurants that offer family-sized take out meals

Coming up with an idea for dinner during “normal” times is hard enough, but throwing a global pandemic on top of that turns it into a stressful chore. I’ve noticed that not only are we cooking more, but we’ve gone through our old stand-bys pretty quickly.

If you are tired of cooking and want to help out local restaurants, we’ve got a list of places that are offering meals that usually feed 4-6 people. This list is by no means exhaustive, and we suggest you always check with the restaurant in case things change.

Here is a list of some fast food restaurants offering family meals.

Breakfast & Java

Beignet Cafe – $18.99 – $30 
If you want some breakfast with a New Orleans flair, make sure to check out Beignet Cafe. They are offering french toast, biscuits and beignets, and biscuits and gravy! They also have family lunch specials.

Hardees – $9 – Serves 4
Hardees is a family favorite in the morning. They are currently offering a 4-biscuit (sausage and egg or bacon egg and cheese) with four small hash rounds. They also offer 4 bacon egg and cheese, two small hash rounds, and a 2-pack of cinnamon raisin biscuits.

IHOP – $24.99 – Serves 4
Pick pancakes, waffles, or french toast. You will also get 4 servings each of scrambled eggs and golden hash browns, and your choice of 8 sausage links or bacon.

Cracker Barrel – $31.99 – Serves 4 
Another of my family favorites is Cracker Barrel. If you like breakfast for dinner this meal is available any time of day. This meal includes Buttermilk Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs and your choice of Bacon or Sausage Patties, plus a choice of Hashbrown Casserole or Fried Apples.

Gold Sprint Coffee – $20 – $25
Sometimes you just need 64oz of iced coffee or iced latte. Head over to Gold Sprint Coffee located near Lowe Mill and you can order curbside service.

Offbeat Coffee – $25
You can also grab a carafe from Offbeat Coffee. They have curbside service at their location at Campus No. 805 or you can use Grubsouth.

Take & Bake

Dished – $15 – $45 (+Delivery Fees)
If you want to have meals delivered each week, make sure to check out Dished. They make the process super each with drop-offs and instructions on each item.

Good Company Cafe – $30 – $50 – Serves 4-8 
From Baked Ziti to Crawfish Pot Pie, you can find something for the whole family. This women-owned business in South Huntsville is easy to grab curbside. They even offer breakfast and baked goods!

Straight to Ale – $32
You can grab a take and heat family meal pack from Ale’s Kitchen. They are offering a BBQ family pack that includes 2 Lbs pecan & hickory smoked pulled pork, 1 quart of Bratwurst Mac n Cheese, house BBQ sauce, and your choice of creamy or spicy slaw.

Mason Dixon – $40 – $52
If your family has dietary restrictions, you probably already know about Mason Dixon. However, they have now started offering family meals from chicken pot pie to complete vegan meals! The best part? They come with their awesome cupcakes!

Casual pint – $30 – $55 – Serves 3-6 
If you want to order from The Casual Pint in the Village of Providence, you might want to do it on a Monday. They have $5 off on Mondays. They offer Take and Bake Pretzel for only $15 if you want something snacky or you can get a family meal deal.The offer a meal of brats, toppings, mac & cheese, and pretzels with beer cheese. It’s not easy being cheesy, but someone had to do it.

Lunch & Dinner

Beauregards – $25 – $30
This Alabama chain not only has a great deal, they also are helping locally. They feed Manna House twice a month. For the 4-6 person meal you get 16 traditional and 16 boneless wings served with your choice of fries or house salad.

SuperChix – $50
SuperChix is one of the newest restaurants in Huntsville. They are offering a meal of 16 tenders, salad, chips, custard and tea! While this is a little more expensive than some, you do get large tenders and dessert as well. You can order curbside or they have also been heading into neighborhoods, so reach out to your HOA and set something up!

Champy’s – $25.99 – 46.99
If you are missing the Trash Pandas, you can get some food from Champy’s that will also be in the Toyota Field ballpark. They offer chicken meals from 8-pieces to 20 pieces with baked beans and slaw.

Mangia – $30 – $45 – Serves 4-6
On Highway 72 in Madison, you can order curbside service from Mangia Italian Restaurant. They offer Spaghetti, Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan, Pasta Roma, and more. Each meal comes with a large order of breadsticks and garden salad.

Cork & Crust Pizzeria – $29.99 – Serves 4 
Cork and Crust is more than pizza; they are now offering a family to-go meal. You get a choice of Sausage Rigatoni, Chicken Fettuccine, or Spaghetti & Meatballs. The meal also comes with a House or Caesar Salad and toasted garlic bread. Don’t forget that if you need wine, most places that sell it will also send you home with a bottle for around $15.

Tellinis – $29.99 – $34.99 – Serves 4 
You can find Tellini’s Drive-thru or curbside service in front of the Walmart on Highway 72 near the Highway 255 exchange. They are offering Spaghetti Meat Sauce, Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccine Alfredo or Lasagna. It’s extra to add meatballs, chicken or shrimp.  It comes with salad and bread.

Carraba’s – $34.99 – $49.99 – Serves 5 
If you are near Parkway Place Mall, you can stop by Carrabba’s. You have a choice of Lasagne, Spaghetti, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Penne Carrabba, Penne Alfredo, or Vazzano Salmon. Each entrée bundle includes your choice of salad and bread.

Bravo – $39.99 – $49.00  – Serves 4-5
Bridge Street Town Centre’s Bravo is offering a family meal deal. Get one salad, focaccia bread and dipping oil, and one entree. You can choose from: Spaghetti Pomodoro, Pasta Bravo, Pasta Woozie, Chicken Parmigiana, and Chicken Marsala.

Earth and Stone – $25 – $35 Serves 4-6
If you want some crispy pizza for the family, head to either the Huntsville Location at Campus No. 805 or Madison on Highway 72 location. They are offering meal deals with 2 one-topping pizzas, a large featured pizza with cheesy bread. You can also add a garden salad to go along with it. They are also offering take and bake lasagna with salad and garlic bread. Bring on the carbs!

Mazzara’s – $34.99 – $39.99 – Serves 4
We may be missing the sounds of Stovehouse, but you can still take home some amazing Italian food from Mazzara’s Italian Kitchen. You can order through GrubSouth, or you can get curbside pickup.  You get your choice of Pork Dinner, Salmon Dinner, Chicken Parm Dinner, Chicken Breast, and Pasta Dinner Options.  They all come with a house salad and sides.

Fresko Grill – $35 – Serves 4
Also at Stovehouse is Fresko Grill. Their family meal includes 1 base, 1 protein, 1 salad, 1 spread, and 1 pita bread. You can order curbside or have it delivered through GrubSouth or Doordash.

Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe – $28.99 – $34.99 – Serves 4
If you are looking for a healthier alternative (with some yummy cookies you can add on for dessert), check our Taziki’s. You can pick from Grilled Chicken Breast, Beef Tender, Chargrilled Lamb, or Shrimp. Includes Greek salad with dressing, roasted new potatoes or basmati rice, and choice of baked pita chips or soft pita.

Commerce Kitchen – $60 – $100 – Serves 4 
If you are looking for a fancy celebration dinner, Commerce Kitchen in Downtown Huntsville is offering occasional family specials. Follow along on their Facebook Page as they post their offers. We’ve seen Shrimp & Grits, Steaks, Red Snapper, Surf & Turf and more.

Jackson Center – $36 – $45 – Serves 6-8
Another option that you may not think of is The Jackson Center. The event center at Hudson Alpha? Yes. That’s the one. They are sharing pot pies, meatloafs, chicken enchiladas, and more each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. How does it work? You click on their eventbrite page and click on the green “register” button to place your order. They will contact you after you place your order for payment and pickup details. Don’t feel bad about getting their cookies either. They are amazing. Really one of the reasons I go to any conferences there.

Cheddar’s – $19.99 – $44.99 – Serves 4-6
Cheddar’s is offering several options for family meals. You can get chicken tenders, cheeseburgers, lemon pepper chicken, or smoked baby back ribs. They are all served with 6 honey butter croissants and two sides.

Graves Grocery – $25 – 45 – Serves 4-8
This community rest stop in Lacey’s Spring is a great place to take a road trip and enjoy. They have a 4 or 8 family pack that includes an entree, two sides and tea. If you are itching to travel somewhere and maybe plan a picnic, stop by and get some southern cooking.

Urban Cookhouse – $36 – $45 – Serves 4 
Urban Cookhouse is located at Bridge Street Town Centre, but they have been on the move. They will come to your neighborhood or even a location that’s closer to where you live. First off, their orange rolls are delicious and if you haven’t tried them, please do. The meal comes with 1 meat, two sides, 4 orange rolls and half a gallon of tea or strawberry lemonade. Choose from grilled chicken, chipotle braised pork, grilled pineapple ham, smoked turkey, lime steak, or woodfired shrimp.

Connors – $54 – Serves 4
Also located at Bridge Street, Connors is usually known for their steak house and upscale menu, but they’ve bought into the family plan now! You can get curbside service when you order by phone. Pick from Shrimp, Chicken or Steak Linguini, Chicken Piccata, Lemon Dill Atlantic Salmon, or Chicken Parmesan. Each entree comes with a choice of salad or chocolate mousse cake, sourdough bread and butter.

Main Street Cafe – $40 – Serves 4
In Madison, the old city jail is now a cafe that serves some of the best strawberry pretzel salad you will ever eat in your life. They also have a family meal deal that includes an entree, two sides, yeast rolls, and tea. The entrees include a stuffed roasted pork loin, cheesy meatloaf, poulet de normandie, poppy seed chicken casserole, chicken salad, or beef lasagna. You can add a dessert for just $10.

Old Black Bear – $48 – $60 – Serves 4
Also just down the road in Madison is Old Black Bear Brewing Company. They are selling the beers and spirits, but also family meals. You can choose from a main dish and two sides. Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Wings by the Pound, or Southern Fried Catfish are the options for entrees.

West End Grill – $40 – $50 – Serves 4
Located near Bridge Street on Old Madison Pike, West End Grill is a favorite for many a Redstone Arsenal Employees. Grab a family meal of a “meat and two” or pasta. Choose from filet steak tips, meatloaf, chicken fingers, or pot roast. They also serve adult beverages to go for those wanting to imbibe.

Frankie’s Crab Shack – $79.99 – Serves 5 – 6
Sometimes you need to treat-yo-self. If you want some dive deep into some amazing seafood make sure to check out Frankie’s Crab Shack in north Huntsville. Frankie’s Family Boil Includes: 5 clusters, 30 shrimp, 5 corn, 10 potatoes, 5 sausage links, *butter sauce and lemon, $79.99. Eggs can be added for $.30 each!

Taco Mama – $55
Set up your very own Taco/Nacho Bar courtesy of Taco Mama with their family special including ground beef, chicken, flour tortillas, tortilla chips, 1 pint of queso, 1 pint of cilantro lime rice ,1 pint of black beans, 1 pint ranchero salsa, diced onions, shredded cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, tomatoes, and lettuce. You can add 1 gallon of margarita mix and tequila for additional charges as well.

Ole Hickory BBQ – $23.99
With a claim to fame as big as “We are the Best ‘Q’ You Can Do”, it may be hard to miss out on Ole Hickory BBQ’s family pack with 1 pound of pulled pork, three 1-pint sides, buns, and sauces for $23.99.

Bark and Barrel – $21.99 – $38.99
This BBQ joint is serving up 2 different family packs that is sure to fill up the whole crew with the Mom’s Night Off and The Tailgater. Premium sides are an extra charge and you can also add 1 gallon of sweet or unsweet tea for $4.00 extra.

• Mom’s Night Off: 1 pound of pulled pork, two 16-ounce sides (premium sides are extra), pickles, sauce, and 8 buns for $21.99
• The Tailgater: 2 pounds of pulled pork, four 16-ounce sides, pickles, sauce, and 12 buns for $38.99

WWBrookinsSmokeOnTheGo – $25
Serving up good down-home food, this veteran-owned restaurant was started by Sgt. 1st Class Walter Lee Brookins in 2000 to bring family and friends together. That tradition continues with their Family Special that includes a large Chicken & Dressing with 2 sides, cranberry sauce, and a 2-liter drink for $25. Visit their Facebook page for more details.

Dreamland BBQ – $24.99 – $79.99 Serves 4, 6-8, or 8-12
Serve your family, your friends, and maybe a few neighbors with the Dreamland BBQ Family Dinners that can serve up to 12 people!  Each offer includes buns, sauce, pickles, and utensils.

• 4 – person Family Dinner with 1 pound of meat, 2 pints of sides, 1 pint of dessert for $24.99
• 6 to 8 – person Big Family Dinner with 2 pounds of meat, 2 pints of sides, 1 quart of dessert for $39.99
• 8 to 12 – person Bigger Family Dinner with 4 pounds of meat, 2 quart of sides, and 2 quarts of dessert for $79.99

Rita’s Italian Ice – $20
As the weather warms up the more my family wants sweet treats. That’s why we are excited about the Family Gelati Deal from Rita’s. What’s Gelati? It’s custard and shaved ice. It’s amazing. You can order by calling, and they offer curbside pickup.

Regale Cupcakery – $10 – $15
If you are looking for a sweet treat in the form of a cupcake, make sure you check out Regale Cupcakery. They can deliver or you can find their location each week on their facebook page.

Bigfoot Little Donuts – $5
This South Huntsville business has always been worth the drive for my family who lives in Madison. With amazing flavors it’s going to be hard to pick just one box, but splurge. You have kids that are running you ragged so treat yo self! They offer online ordering and curbside service.
