2015 Halloween Parties and General Spooky Fun

Huntsville Ghost Walks

Tours begin in front of historic Harrison Brothers Hardware store which is also where you purchase your tickets. There are three different walking tours (2 hours each) and a trolley ride (1 hour). While no one jumps out at you, it is a GHOST WALK, so be mindful of how easily your little ones might be scared.

Madison Ghost Walk

Madison Ghost Walk is the first expansion into another city by the good people from Huntsville Ghost Walk. You can expect the same professional story-telling from us as you already do. This Ghost Walk begins at Bandito Burrito on Main Street, Madison. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll
Huntsville Cemetery Stroll

A wonderful Huntsville Tradition, this stroll through historic Maple Hill Cemetery includes more than 65 costumed characters will “come alive” to represent notables from the past. This event is FREE and open to the public. Donations welcome.

Bootanica (Huntsville Botanical Garden)

BootanicaThis family friendly day will be spook-tacularly fun for the whole family! A Parade of Costumes will take place at 11AM. There will be hay rides, hula hoop contests, pumpkin painting for the kids, and Steve the DJ helping with the Halloween fun.

Pizza Party MassacrePizza Party Massacre: Kid’s Nights

The 3rd (and supposedly final) year of the super-popular “Pizza Party Massacre” saga has two days just for kids. Since last year, the Rock-0-Dream Supreme has been forced to clean up the sauce and play it straight! This is a “Showbiz Pizza/Chuck E. Cheese” style family fun night out gone wrong. (Think “Five Nights at Freddy’s” light.) Come for the fun, and stay forever, and don’t forget to Eat The Pizza! The G Rated Show will run October 24 & 31 at 4:00pm. 2015 Teen Masquerade Ball

The Main Library will be transformed for this annual Masquerade Ball, a celebration of Cosplay. Teens in middle and high school are invited to join us for an epic evening of food (NO alcohol), music and dancing. Hetalia, Homestuck, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, we want to see it all at this year’s ball! We are requesting to most creative and coolest cosplays to meet and dance like crazy! The only requirement is that costumes be appropriate for a public gathering. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Advance tickets are available at all library locations or online here.

Halloween Fun at Monrovia

Not So Scary Puppet Show

This fun puppet show features wild things and monsters! It highlights the books Where the Wild Things Are and The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything. There will be puppets, songs, rhymes, and a craft.

Spooktacular Science Halloween GLOW Party (Sci-Quest)

Primary_secondary_spooktacular2015Who turned out the lights? It may be during the day, but we couldn’t wait for the sun to set to get our glow on! Join us as we explore all things “glow” at this family-friendly Halloween party. We will be serving up luminescent liquids, playing with glowing gear, and even exploring a black light maze!

Costumed guests will also get a 3D printed glowing gift. So dress up and head down to Sci-Quest for some spooktacular fun!

Spooky Space Spectacular at Space and Rocket Center

The fun-filled event takes in the Saturn V Hall and surrounding areas. Activities include a costume contest, hands-on science activities and more. The Space Shot and G-Force simulators are also part of the fun, weather permitting.

Earlyworks Halloween Bash

Pumpkin Fun

Pumpkin Blast

pumpkinblastHoly Family Regional School and Tate Farms present the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Blast! Teams will compete by bringing their homemade air cannon or trebuchet to blast a pumpkin as far as it can go. Divisions are open for adults, college students and youths age 14-18 to compete. Tate Farms will be open that day for the general public to watch the event and enjoy the usual fall activities on the farm. Proceeds support Holy Family Regional School’s Restore the Mission Campaign.
