This hike will give us the opportunity to get out and see the upper elevations of the preserve.

Meet at the Terry Education Pavilion at Chapman Mountain to remove invasive nandina along trails and throughout the preserve. Volunteers should expect to hike up to 1 mile, with little elevation change.

Drink hot chocolate and hike the trails at Chapman Mountain while learning about trees in winter and creating in our nature journals!

Enjoy an afternoon of fun, educational activities for all ages! Explore the outdoor world with a variety of activities, including the opportunity to learn about birds of prey, search dogs, geology, and trees.

During the 2025-2026 school year, the Land Trust will host programs at Chapman Mountain designed for the homeschool community. These days offer families the opportunity to visit the preserve with environmental educators on site to lead short hikes, suggest activities, and conduct a small number of short programs.
