A special presentation to kick of Spooky Season at Monte Sano with Naturalist Amber Coger as we dive into various monsters and folklore of the Appalachian Mountains.

Celebrate 70 Years Under the Stars! A sparkling evening at the beautiful Monte Sano Lodge in Monte Sano State Park as we commemorate 70 years of astronomy education and outreach in Huntsville and the surrounding region.

The Monte Sano Art Festival has been an exciting tradition for the North Alabama community for over two decades. Featuring the best local and regional artists representing an array of disciplines and techniques, the Monte Sano Art Festival is a treasure chest full of one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Arts Huntsville does not charge admission to the festival; however, Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 per car for parking or $5 per walk-in festival attendee, cash only. All funds go towards supporting the state parks system!

Monte Sano means the mountain of health, and the history behind this park all point back to its renowned healing properties. Join Naturalist, Amber Coger, on a hike around one of the most scenic trails in the park to learn more about the history of the mountain and how you can find your own healing while wandering the forests of Monte Sano. They will end the hike with a forest bathing activity, no disrobing required. Park entrance fee is NOT included in program fee.
