Let’s Go to the Summer Family Fun Fest & Expo at the VBC

A few years ago, Huntsville’s Von Braun Center wanted to host something special just for local families. The sixth annual Family Fun Fest will take place inside the VBC South Hall the second weekend in June. No fear of getting rained out OR overheating in the Alabama sun!

The hard-working team at the VBC is gearing up for the big day June 8th. “We are thrilled to be able to bring Family Fun Festival & Expo to the Tennessee Valley for the 6th year! The Family Fun Festival & Expo is filled with FREE activates for kids of all ages. We wouldn’t be able to provide this event free to the public without the support of our many sponsors and vendors. So come rain or shine to the South Hall of the VBC for this fun-filled day. We can’t wait to see you here!”

Come for the Family Fun…

The lineup for the Family Fun Fest is pretty great. The best part? All the activities are completely FREE! Bounce all you want, ride the train, climb the rock wall, and more as many times as you can manage.

Touch-A-Truck

… and lots more!

There are more great activities happening at certain times of the day – be sure to tune into their Facebook Page to get those updates as they are finalized! Lots of community organizations and small businesses will be vendors at the Expo portion of the festival, and your kids will enjoy live performances and demonstrations as well!

Sure, it costs $15 but it's SUMMER. When else can you indulge in a giant funnel cake with your friends? — *FUNNEL CAKE!*

… Stay for the FOOD

This might be the best part…

The VBC wants you to stay all day, and they’ve put together an Indoor Food Court for when you and the kids get hungry. Not only that, but they are working to create Family packs and special Kid’s Meals to make sure all that delicious grub is affordable and won’t break your wallet. You may not bring coolers or outdoor food into the South Hall, so plan accordingly!

Some of the food available on Saturday will truly make your mouth VERY happy. Besides the usual sandwiches, burgers, and kid-friendly fare, there will be ice cream, and GIANT funnel cakes with toppings.
