If you love Huntsville’s mural hunt or space mural trail, you’re in luck! Your family can now take a journey in art and history with the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association’s (AMLA) new North Alabama Mural Trail.

With over 125 works of public art scattered throughout the 16 northernmost counties in Alabama, the trail encourages locals and tourists alike to explore the works of art while taking a look at the history of the towns and communities where they’re located.

How to Find the North Alabama Mural Trail

The journey begins by downloading the North Alabama Mural Trail passport from AMLA’s website. Once downloaded, families can access a brief description of the mural, the artist name, street address, and GPS coordinates.

“The North Alabama Mural Trail is not only for art enthusiasts, but for those who appreciate the transformation of a blank wall,” said AMLA President/CEO Tami Reist. “Across the United States, there is a nationwide trend of celebrating public art and whether you have an interest in art or not, we invite you to come see what our walls are saying in North Alabama.”
