Huntsville’s Teen Hangouts

Huntsville’s Teen Hangouts

It can be tough for teens to find fun, safe places to spend their free time, especially those between the ages of 13-16. They aren’t little kids anymore and can do the basics when it comes to taking care of themselves in public places. But they aren’t old enough to drive and still depend on family to get them from point A to point B. That’s why we decided to put together a list ofHuntsville teen hangouts – mainly where it’s OK to drop them off and pick them back up in a few hours.

NOTE: It’s important to have big conversations about safety, behavior, and responsibility before leaving your teen unsupervised. Of course, every kid is different and you know your kid best. We encourage teens to visit these places with a buddy or in small groups, and not to go alone.

Public Library Teen Events

Some of the library branches in the Huntsville Madison County Public Library system offer stellar programming specifically for teens. Craft & movie nights, trivia, book clubs, and fandom events are hosted for ages 13-18 by librarians who know how to work with teens, tweens, & YAs. You can even filter their event calendar by age!
