Discovering Mars: Robot Explorers is now open with full-scale models of the Mars Sojourner, Mars Exploration and Curiosity rovers along with the InSight Mars Lander, and the Ingenuity helicopter. Each of these vehicles in this interactive exhibit represents the kinds of robotic technologies that have explored the Martian surface, providing valuable insight on our solar system neighbor - Mars.

Niña & Pinta Replica Ships: Guntersville City Harbor

Guntersville City Harbor 39 Paddle Wheel Drive, Guntersville

The Nina & Pinta replica Ships starting June 23rd 2025, will be open for scheduled guided tours only Monday through Friday with groups of 15 or more. Ships will be open for Self-guided walk aboard tours Saturday & Sunday from 11am-5pm at Guntersville City Harbor, 29 Paddle Wheel dr. in Guntersville, AL until October 19th 2025. The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called her "the most historically accurate Replica of Columbus’ Ship ever built." Many historians call the “Caravel” the Space Shuttle of the 15th Century. Today, both Ships tour together as a dockside “floating museum” for the purpose of educating the Public and school Children on the “Caravel”, a versatile Portuguese Ship used by Columbus and many early explorers during the “Age of Exploration”!

Many kids feel more at ease reading to a dog who is there to listen. You can sign up for a fifteen minute session with a trained therapy dog from Therapy Partners, Inc. Please bring a book to read or come early and choose a book. A grown up must stay in the room during the reading session.
