Ships will be open for Self-guided walk aboard tours Saturday & Sunday from 11am-5pm at Guntersville City Harbor, 29 Paddle Wheel dr. in Guntersville, AL until October 19th 2025. The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called her "the most historically accurate Replica of Columbus’ Ship ever built." Many historians call the “Caravel” the Space Shuttle of the 15th Century. Today, both Ships tour together as a dockside “floating museum” for the purpose of educating the Public and school Children on the “Caravel”, a versatile Portuguese Ship used by Columbus and many early explorers during the “Age of Exploration”!

Motorcyclists from across the southeast will come together September 19-21, 2025, for a powerful tribute to the Native American tribes who were forcibly removed from their ancestral homelands. The 32nd annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride travels from Bridgeport, Ala. and follows the historic route through North Alabama to the northwestern town of Waterloo, and along with the celebratory ride, there is a kick-off rally and a three-day Indian Festival for the public to take part in! This year’s ride is expected to draw thousands of participants and spectators along the way!A kick-off rally offering children’s activities, live music, fireworks show and other free family fun for the public to enjoy is scheduled in downtown Bridgeport on Friday, Sept. 19. Bikes will arrive from the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian Reservation at 3:00 p.m. and the official opening ceremony gets underway at 5:00 p.m!

The Depot Days Festival rolls into Hartselle September 20, 2025, bringing a day of family-friendly fun and entertainment to the historic depot and downtown area! Now in its 45th year, the Depot Days Festival goes underway on September 20 with activities lasting throughout the day! The Nina & Pinta replica Ships starting June 23rd 2025, will be open for scheduled guided tours only Monday through Friday with groups of 15 or more. Ships will be open for Self-guided walk aboard tours Saturday & Sunday from 11am-5pm at Guntersville City Harbor, 29 Paddle Wheel dr. in Guntersville, AL until October 19th 2025. The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called her "the most historically accurate Replica of Columbus’ Ship ever built." Many historians call the “Caravel” the Space Shuttle of the 15th Century. Today, both Ships tour together as a dockside “floating museum” for the purpose of educating the Public and school Children on the “Caravel”, a versatile Portuguese Ship used by Columbus and many early explorers during the “Age of Exploration”!

All walking tours leave from Harrison Brothers Hardware Store promptly at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights in September and every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights in October. Walking tours are $13 for adults, $8 for kids 12 and under. Reservations are required. All tours will begin promptly at the start time so be sure to show up early to find parking and check in. They all are approximately 1.5 hours long, all have completely different stories, all are equally wonderful. Don't ask them to choose the best, they love them all!

The Monte Sano Art Festival has been an exciting tradition for the North Alabama community for over two decades. Featuring the best local and regional artists representing an array of disciplines and techniques, the Monte Sano Art Festival is a treasure chest full of one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Arts Huntsville does not charge admission to the festival; however, Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 per car for parking or $5 per walk-in festival attendee, cash only. All funds go towards supporting the state parks system!
