The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called her "the most historically accurate Replica of Columbus’ Ship ever built." Many historians call the “Caravel” the Space Shuttle of the 15th Century. Today, both Ships tour together as a dockside “floating museum” for the purpose of educating the Public and school Children on the “Caravel”, a versatile Portuguese Ship used by Columbus and many early explorers during the “Age of Exploration”!

The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called her "the most historically accurate Replica of Columbus’ Ship ever built." Many historians call the “Caravel” the Space Shuttle of the 15th Century. Today, both Ships tour together as a dockside “floating museum” for the purpose of educating the Public and school Children on the “Caravel”, a versatile Portuguese Ship used by Columbus and many early explorers during the “Age of Exploration”!
