Monte Sano means the mountain of health, and the history behind this park all point back to its renowned healing properties. Join Naturalist, Amber Coger, on a hike around one of the most scenic trails in the park to learn more about the history of the mountain and how you can find your own healing while wandering the forests of Monte Sano. They will end the hike with a forest bathing activity, no disrobing required. Park entrance fee is NOT included in program fee.

Come and join for a Back to Homeschool Bash! Meet some new friends and learn about opportunities!
They want to invite you to their Back to Homeschool Bash! This event is designed to be part celebration, part info gathering place, and all fun! They will have activities for children and lots of great opportunities and information for adults. Throughout the event they will have curriculum sharers and seasoned homeschool parents that you can talk to learn about the nitty gritty of homeschooling or help you plan for the future! They are gathering community resources and bringing them together in one place for families! They are compiling as many great resources as they can to make this event fun and useful for families looking for local enrichment opportunities and more!

Guests of all ages will enjoy sharing in the magic of safely releasing live butterflies into the Purdy Butterfly House. This program begins with a brief presentation about butterflies and their habitat, followed by taking part in the safe restoration of our indoor butterfly population. Don’t forget your camera – these photo opportunities are not to be missed! Butterfly Releases take place throughout the summer, and each program lasts approximately 30 minutes.
