The 2025 Scottsboro Dragon Boat Race and Festival is a premier sporting event drawing participants and attendees from throughout the region for a day of exciting, friendly competition in an atmosphere fueled with community spirit. Spectators gather at Goose Pond Colony and Resort to cheer on their favorite teams who board 46-feet long traditional Hong Kong-style dragon boats for a race along Lake Guntersville. Each team consists of 22 people, with a drummer at the front, 20 seated rowers and a steerer in the back. Dragon boat racing originated more than 2,300 years ago and creates a spectacle like no other with colorful boats, drumming rhythms and unique paddling stroke!

In Justice in Your Court, he translates the excitement and drama of the courtroom to the written page. His live program, You Be the Judge, has entertained and educated audiences, including adult continuing education classes, high school students, church groups and even a yearly presentation at the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas. The live program follows the same format as the case studies included in his book, Justice in Your Court.
