🔭🌕 The Huntsville International Observe the Moon Night will be taking place on Friday, Oct. 3, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, near NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Huntsville Parks & Recreation, in collaboration with The Skatepark Project, invites skateboarders and skate enthusiasts of all levels to drop in and show off their skills at the 2025 Bowl Jam. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned rider or just here to cheer, you won’t want to miss Pro Bowl Jam participants, X Games legends and Olympic skateboarders, including Bucky Lasek, Lizzie Armanto, Bryce Wettstein, Katelyn West and more.

The Nina & Pinta replica Ships starting June 23rd 2025, will be open for scheduled guided tours only Monday through Friday with groups of 15 or more. Ships will be open for Self-guided walk aboard tours Saturday & Sunday from 11am-5pm at Guntersville City Harbor, 29 Paddle Wheel dr. in Guntersville, AL until October 19th 2025. The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called her "the most historically accurate Replica of Columbus’ Ship ever built." Many historians call the “Caravel” the Space Shuttle of the 15th Century. Today, both Ships tour together as a dockside “floating museum” for the purpose of educating the Public and school Children on the “Caravel”, a versatile Portuguese Ship used by Columbus and many early explorers during the “Age of Exploration”!

All walking tours leave from Harrison Brothers Hardware Store promptly at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights in September and every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights in October. Walking tours are $13 for adults, $8 for kids 12 and under. Reservations are required. All tours will begin promptly at the start time so be sure to show up early to find parking and check in. They all are approximately 1.5 hours long, all have completely different stories, all are equally wonderful. Don't ask them to choose the best, they love them all!
