An alternative to the traditional pumpkin patch, the North Alabama Railroad Museum is combining the thrill of picking a pumpkin with the excitement of a train ride!! Everyone will board the train at the Mercury & Chase Depot and ride through the woods to Normal, AL. All passengers will then disembark the train to visit the pumpkin patch. Every child will be able to choose his or her very own pumpkin to take home! They always get our pumpkins from Lyon Family Farms and they are beautiful every year!! Their 1949 Southern Railway Pullman Sleeper coach will be pulled along for this ride (however, no food or drink will be offered during this short excursion). WhistleStop: Rocket City's BBQ Festival is BACK!
A beloved North Alabama tradition since 2001, WhistleStop returns October 17th & 18th, 2025, to the vibrant MidCity District! Presented by the Apollo Coalition, this year's festival features a new contest, fantastic music, and more! Join them for a fantastic weekend of BBQ, music, and community spirit, all for a great cause!

Join for Friday night music on Village Green! The Grasstronauts is a progressive bluegrass band comprised of local Huntsville musicians. The Grasstronauts play acoustic instruments and tunes typically heard in Bluegrass music but also play an extensive list of tunes not associated with bluegrass. Bring your favorite lawn chair or picnic blanket for a night out in Clift Farm.

All walking tours leave from Harrison Brothers Hardware Store promptly at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights in September and every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights in October. Walking tours are $13 for adults, $8 for kids 12 and under. Reservations are required. All tours will begin promptly at the start time so be sure to show up early to find parking and check in. They all are approximately 1.5 hours long, all have completely different stories, all are equally wonderful. Don't ask them to choose the best, they love them all!
