Mayor’s Tree Planting Day
Join Mayor Battle and Green Team at Brahan Spring Park for the annual Mayor’s Tree Planting Day on Saturday, November 1. Tree planting will take place from 9am to noon. Hundreds of trees will be planted to expand the tree canopy this year!
Trees will also will be given out to take home to plant, while they last! The Alabama Urban Forestry Association, with funding from the Arbor Day Foundation and International Paper, is offering the tree giveaway.
Meet at 2800 Drake Avenue SW and follow signs for parking instructions.
We need your help to plant trees. No experience is needed. All ages and groups are welcome. You can drop in any time during the event to plant trees.
Volunteers will also be provided with free litter clean up supplies. Meet at Brahan Spring Park at 2800 Drake Avenue SW.
