Lyon Family Farms Opens for the 2025 Season

It just doesn’t feel like fall until there’s a pumpkin patch trip on the calendar, and Lyon Family Farms is definitely one worth the drive! Located about 40 minutes from Huntsville and Madison, this family-owned farm in Tennessee makes a picture-perfect day trip full of fall traditions and plenty of fun.

Furry Friends & Pumpkins

One of the highlights? A tractor-pulled hayride that carries visitors deep into the pumpkin fields, where everyone can choose their favorite pumpkin straight from the vine. Staff are ready with clippers for stubborn stems, and each pumpkin gets marked to make sure it finds its way home with the right family.

Of course, there’s much more to do than just pumpkins. The farm is filled with hands-on activities, wide-open play areas, and friendly farm animals. Guests can stop by the Schoolhouse to learn how pumpkins are grown, then head over to meet pigs, goats, horses, cows, sheep, rabbits, and baby chicks in the petting zoo. Handwashing stations and sanitizer are easy to find after an animal encounter.

so. many. pumpkins!
