Spring Train Rides in Huntsville Your Kids Will Love

  • Special spring train rides in April & May 2023
  • Three different excursions to choose from!
train tracks in the spring

All aboard! Spring is a beautiful season here in Huntsville, and one of our favorite ones because there’s so much to do! Definitely be sure to add the North Alabama Railroad Museum to your Spring Must List if you have a young train enthusiast. They offer three different train rides through the countryside, and if you act fast you can snag seats on all three this spring.

Amazing opportunity to see old trains in operation! Kids of all ages love coming here and watching the sights as the train moves down the track. The holiday-themed rides are really fun too. The people working there really know their stuff! – Katherine H.

Good Night Train Ride

“All Aboard! The sun is down.  The Goodnight Train is leaving town.”  NARM is pleased to introduce the inaugural run of “The Goodnight Train” this 2024 season.  Intended for children and their families, The Goodnight Train will feature a night-time ride along the eastern end of our track.  Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas.  We will enjoy a reading of the beloved children’s book, The Goodnight Train, while we ride the rails.  Children on board will also receive a small present to remember their time on this special night.  Because this is the first year of this excursion, we will NOT be offering refreshments.
