Skate Into the New Year at This Kid-Friendly Huntsville Countdown!
We are so happy to be a part of Huntsville’s kid-friendly New Year’s Eve Countdown event, and YOU are invited too! This year, Skating in the Park will host TWO simulated Ball Drops on ice in Downtown Huntsville on New Year’s Eve – one for the kiddos and one for the older skaters.
New Year’s Eve Lil’ Ball Drop at 8:30 PM
Skaters will enjoy non-alcoholic sparkling cider in a Limited Edition Glow in the Dark Cup provided by our friends at Progress Bank. They’ll also countdown with DJ Boskii for a simulated New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at 8:30 pm that will be projected onto the back of the Huntsville Museum of Art, courtesy of LED-Orange Productions.
The best part? Kids can party a little early and be home and off the roads well before midnight. Hooray!
Here We Glow Again at Midnight!
Shortly following, the lights hanging over the rink will go out and glow sticks will take over! DJ Boskii will change the playlist to a more contemporary track and another simulated Ball Drop will be projected onto the back of the Huntsville Museum of Art at midnight during the GLOW UP New Year’s Eve Party.
Guests are encouraged to dress up in their most glowing/light-up outfits and prizes will be awarded to those who shine the brightest! Glow in the Dark accessories will also be provided for those who don’t bring their own.
RINK in the new year with your family as you dance and skate your way into 2022. Both New Year’s Eve events are included with the cost of admission to the rink and all are welcome.
