Local family fun is serious business here at Rocket City Mom so we take the process of picking favorites just as seriously and we’re always excited to announce our winners.

The Real Judges

There is a common misconception that the editors at RCM pick the winners for these awards but actually it’s our readers who decide what’s hot and what’s not in the Rocket City.  Every February we put out the call for nominations and our readers tell us what they love about Huntsville. Then, each March, these same people (and their friends, family, and neighbors) vote for the top three nominees.

So, It Really is an Honor

This means being nominated requires hundreds of people to say they loved you (no small feat) and then we very frequently have very close races during the voting. Sometimes, it’s just too close to call and then you’ll see a tie.

We are grateful to our wonderful community of RCM followers who took the time to share their area favorites so that newcomers and locals alike could more easily have the “inside scoop” on what makes the Rocket City such a great place for families. Our 2019 Rocket City Mom Family Favorite Award Winners all contribute to making our hometown a pretty amazing place to live.
