I admit it. I am *kind of* obsessed with Brene Brown. When I doubt myself, struggle with my own imperfection, or feel I don’t belong, I turn to her words for encouragement. One of my favorites is, “You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.” Perhaps, the hardest part of being a mompreneur is the fact that before anything else, we are each our own unique people. Our story and our businesses are unique. There is no blueprint. There is no guidebook. So how do we know we are writing and telling our story in the best way possible way? You’ve heard it before, so I will say it again, IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
What’s the Mompreneur Event?
Whether you are an emerging business owner or taking time to revisit your plan and network, we have an event for you! The Catalyst Center presents the 3rd annual Mompreneur Event aimed at engaging and motivating women to gain MOMentum in their business pursuits.
Find out how you can win tickets below!
We seek empowered women, scared women, knowledgeable women, early-learner women, reluctant women, and fierce women to come to the table on Friday, September 14, 2018 for a day of sharing. Our individual stories will collide to create a beautiful tapestry of what it means to be a mompreneur in our area. We seek every level of knowledge and ability to create a richer fabric. IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
This special event is essential for mompreneurs who:
- Look to gain inspiration and re-discover their “why”
- Need to refocus their goals and know how to manage time to achieve those goals
- Seek to learn about technologies that will help them work smarter not harder
- Commit to finding actionable tools to help them manage and grow their business successfully
- Eager to find time for themselves to focus on personal needs as well as business needs
- Hope to connect with like-minded mompreneurs to share hacks, resources, and business opportunities
If I’m Getting a Sitter for This, I Need to Know What’s Covered
We will remove the nervousness from networking and will tackle tough topics like how to be a time boss and techie tool box. From revenue to relaxation, marketing to emotions, and everything in between, we will talk in real terms. Come to connect and share, eat lunch and network. You can see the full day’s agenda here.
We all struggle, we are all imperfect, and yet we are all EMPOWERED. Let’s gain MOMentum together. LET’S BE A VILLAGE.

Christa Landingham and her husband are Madison County natives and life-long residents. They have boy/girl twins and two crazy puppers. She loves all things teaching, organizing, and supporting local small businesses. In her “free-time” she loves to garden, travel with her family, volunteer, and comb local thrift stores.
